Year 12 Valedictory

The Valedictory Service is the final event to celebrate and acknowledge the Year 12 class as they complete their formal education at Endeavour College. The Class of 2019 were presented to the gathering of special guests, proud parents and friends, staff and Year 11 students on Thursday 21 November in the Endeavour Centre.

Leanne Ridsdale, Acting College Council Chair, formally welcomed the special guests: Mr Michael Brown MP, State member for Playford, Mr Tony Zappia MP, Federal Member for Makin, Mr Andrew Bradtke representing Lutheran Education SA, NT and WA, Ms Lisa Braun representing Ms Gillian Aldridge, Mayor of Salisbury, Lance Corporal Cassandra Lohmeyer, Australian Army, Margaret Farr and Vineeta Dogra, Rotary Club of Mawson Lakes, Rev James Winderlich, Australian Lutheran College, Mr Mike Leske (founding Principal) and Mrs Fran Leske, Ms Ruth Greer, UniSA, Mr David Wilksch, Principal Good Shepherd, Mr Mike Krause former College Chairperson.

Worship was led by Chaplain, Charlie Tatera with support from the Worship Band and 2020 College Captains, Paul Wentrock and Amelia Bearman and 2020 Student Action Team Captains Diana Huang, Chinmay Kumar and Chantelle Weiland who shared the Bible readings and prayers.

The Principal’s report, focused on the contributions the Year 12 students had made during their time at the College, and parents were also acknowledged for their support they have provided for the students over the time at the College.

Year 12 students were presented with awards and their Student Achievement Records. Staff farewelled the Class of 2019 with the customary song of blessing.

Throughout the service, the audience enjoyed the musical talents of various individual and group ensembles including Charlotte Knudsen, the Show Band, Worship Band and Senior Vocal Ensemble.

The evening concluded with a lively and celebratory supper for the graduating class and their families.
