Important Information

Year 10 and Year 11

This week all Year 10 and 11 students will undertake their examinations.  Following the examination period, Year 10 and 11 students are not required to return to school until their final school day of the year on Wednesday 4 December.  This is an important day for students for two reasons: it enables them to celebrate the year that has been and it provides an opportunity to prepare for the year to come.

On Wednesday 4 December, students will attend a Year Level meeting in the morning, during which they will receive their timetable for the special program which will run in the morning. These sessions involve students meeting with their teachers for 2020 and students will be given an overview of subject requirements. In some cases, particularly for Year 12 subjects, teachers may issue some holiday tasks. Examination results will also be returned and allocated Care Group time must be used to ensure that all lockers are clean and empty. There will also be some time for students to catch up informally with each other before the holiday break and to rehearse for the final service in the afternoon.

The Senior Years Final Service for Year 10 and 11 students will begin at 2.00pm, and parents are warmly invited to attend. During the service we will celebrate the achievements of Year 10 and 11 students, award academic, application and other special prizes and give thanks to God for his blessings during 2019. The school day should conclude at around 3.15pm.

Middle Years End of Year Activities

On the final day of Term 4, Tuesday 10 December, all Year 7, 8 and 9 students will be involved in special year level activities. Further details and consent forms will be provided by the Year Level Leaders. The day will begin at the usual time and students will be dismissed from the College at the earlier time of 2.00pm.  The College will provide supervision for students who are unable to be picked up by parents or who travel via our College buses to Good Shepherd and Golden Grove. These buses will be running at the normal times.

Please be reminded that you are most welcome to attend the Middle Years Final Service which will take place on Monday 9 December  from 1.30pm – 3.00pm. This service will celebrate the achievements of many of our students in Years 7, 8 and 9.

On Monday 9 December at 6.30pm, Year 9 students and their parents/caregivers will take part in The Voyage – ‘The Arrival’ ceremony.  A letter has been sent home with more details.
