K-6 Sport

Primary Sport

Students from Year 3-6 are participating in rotations through a variety of activities for sport. As part of the rotation each week, one class will be going Ten Pin Bowling at ‘Shake, Rattle and Roll’ and another will be heading to the Indoor Centre or King Fit while the other 6 classes will stay at school and participate in basketball, touch, indoor hockey, sofcrosse, cricket or tee ball. This week 5/6B will go Ten Pin Bowling ($5.00), 3/4D will go to King Fit ($3.50) and 5/6GD will go to the Indoor Centre ($3.50). If you have any concerns, please contact Mrs Dal Santo.

Diocesan Swimming Carnival

Congratulations to our school swimming team who attended the Diocesan Carnival in Moree last Friday. There were 3 students who made it into the Armidale Diocesan team and will compete at the Polding Trials in Sydney later in the term - Florence Black, Cody Uebergang and Mason Hill.

Rugby Knockout

Congratulations to our Open Boys Rugby Union side who participated in the Inverell Carnival last Friday evening. A big thank you to Miss Emily Adams and Mr Josh Stewart for coaching and managing our team and to our parents for supporting the students.

Diocesan Winter Trials

Over the next few week’s Senior Primary students will trial for Netball, Soccer and 11yrs League and Opens League. These trials are for individual selections and are not for school teams. Only 4-6 students are chosen for each sport. If students are selected at a school level they must be available to go to Diocesan Trials on Friday 20 March in Inverell and then if gaining further selection, Polding Trials in Bathurst on Friday 1 May. If your child is selected at the school level, they will receive a note.

Secondary Sport

School Sport

Sport for the remainder of the term will be the secondary house competition with students participating in a rotation of different activities and games each week. Students are reminded to bring a hat and water bottle. After the second week of games the leader board is as follows: Johns 1107, Leos 945, Marks 495, Pauls 316.

NSWCCC Cricket

Angus Harris, Charlie Harris and Sam Frazier attended the U15's NSWCCC cricket trials in Sydney yesterday. The boys missed out on selection however performed well at the trials and received some great experience against some of the states best cricketers.

Inverell Junior Rugby 7's

Well done to the U14’s boys and U16’s boys rugby 7’s who played in the Junior Rugby 7’s on Friday night.

Diocesan Rugby League
