Principal's Report

Carly Avery

Dear Parents and Friends,

What a great Easter Weekend! Brilliant weather and lots of activity in town. Thank you again to all those who pitched in to support the Food Stall and Float. These were both great successes, and it was great to see so many smiling faces!

We are still receiving invoices, a final figure is to be finalised.

As with any event, there are many people involved, far too many to list! I would like to thank each one of you for the contribution you made to the Food Stall and Float. This event certainly was a team effort. I will be calling for an online meeting following school camp, to debrief about these events.

Easter was followed by a great representation of our community on Anzac Day. Thank you to those students and staff who were able to attend and represent St. Joseph’s.

This Friday we invite students to wear casual clothes and bring in a donation for the Tolley family. As you are aware Jack Tolley is currently in hospital, following a house fire. We pray for Jack and his family at this time.

Canberra Camp

We have excited staff and students in our senior area as we prepare for Canberra Camp next week. A reminder to check emails for details.

School Cross Country- Tomorrow

A reminder that this is due to take place tomorrow. Thank you to those parents who have completed permission notes via PAM, there are still a few to come through.

Depending on the weather, this is due to start around 11:45 am onwards.

Change in Communication

Following recent feedback, we are reviewing and updating our communication platforms. This week all classes will have received a class email from teachers which will be emailed weekly outlining day to day details. You will also receive a class curriculum newsletter over the coming days outlining Term 2 curriculum foci. You will find a shorter, more streamlined newsletter with key information each week. Please feel free to share any feedback about these changes, more information to come this term.

Satisfaction Survey Term 1 2022

In order to continue working on our communication, parent engagement and school improvement, I ask that you take 3-4 minutes to complete our term 1 satisfaction survey. Our feedback from term 4 was of great value and has assisted in the areas of communication and parent engagement particularly.
