COLOUR RUN
Term 2 was to kick off with The Colour Run but due to the uncertainty of weather this week, it has now been rescheduled to Friday 2nd September.
This news is unfortunate given the fact that the energy devoted now on two occasions has been set back, but the resilience of the school team will see a good result in September.
Please keep in mind that this is a unique opportunity to combine the fun of colour with the thrill of obstacles. Classes will do 2 laps round a course set up in Elsternwick Park while being sprayed with coloured powder as they pass through. The excitement isn’t limited to the course there will be fun warm ups, picture ops, a teacher run through and zooper doopers.
All fundraising will be paused and resume closer to the event in September. The resources that we have received will remain at school in a safe place until Sep 2, 2022
MOTHERS DAY LUNCH
Mothers Day is fast approaching. STJP will be celebrating all our wonderful mums on Saturday the 21st of May at Elwood Bathers for a La Dolce Vita themed lunch. Preparations are underway for this special event and thank-you to every-one that volunteered to help organise.
Book your tickets early, as this event is always full.
BUNNINGS SAUSAGE SIZZLE
We are still looking for a volunteer to help organise and take the lead on this event. Much of the hard work has been done, it simply involves rolling out last year's plans that were postponed due to COVID.
Any Dads out there that can’t resist the lure of a Bunnings sausage we would love to hear from you. No date has been set, but we are looking at Term 3.
PARENTS NIGHT OUT
The parents night out event will be held on Saturday 6th August, it’s a must do so pop the date in your calendars.
The 1 & 2’s year levels are organising and Paige Harrington (Year 1 parent) is the coordinator and is welcoming an additional coordinator to volunteer with her (ideally a Year 2 parent!).
To spread the load a list of the main tasks for the event including budget, drinks and food, invite, manage bookings, decorations, donations, etc. will be emailed round and we ask that one person volunteers for each task. We are hoping to get enough volunteers to cover the responsibilities of the night. Details will be sent out to the year 1 & 2 parents this week.
