Mr Richard Barren- Principal Langwarrin Park Primary School

I would like to take the time to congratulate everyone in our wonderful Langwarrin Park School Community for their commitment and efforts to make Term 1 such a successful one.

Some of the highlights from this term have included:

  • Welcoming our new Foundation and other families to the Langwarrin Park Primary School community
  • Year 6 water safety and beach program at Mills Beach
  • Training of our Grade 5 Play Leaders, who are now arranging and leading games in the playground at lunch time for our younger students
  • The Grade 2 excursion to Balnarring Beach and the Dolphin Research Institute in Hastings
  • Whole School Colour Explosion
  • Year 6 Summer Lightning Premiership
  • House Cross Country and Athletics for our Grade 3-6 students
  • Our Foundation BBQ
  • Easter Bonnet Parade for our Foundation and Grade 1 students- with our local kinder students involved as well
  • We had our Grade 6, 3, 1 and 2 swimming program across the term.

In addition to this our teachers have focused their work on creating a safe and stimulating learning environment. At the same time there has been a priority on looking after their social and emotional wellbeing needs.

Next term is 9 weeks long and we look forward to another exciting term. Please note DET has allocated a Professional Practice Day for all teachers in Term 2.  This will be a student free day, where teachers will be analysing collected assessments in preparation for Semester 1 reports and curriculum planning related work.

On behalf of all school staff at Langwarrin Park Primary School, I wish everyone in the Langy Park community a very safe and happy Easter. Please make sure you allow your kids the time to re-charge their batteries, in preparation for another very busy term.

Stay Safe Everyone!

Richard
