Library News
Bookmark design competition
Congratulations to Chloe Buttler, Isabella Pearson, Bernice Neoh and Amelie Buszard-Bonaccorso whose designs were selected as the library bookmarks for 2022!
The standard of entries was very high, and we loved seeing everyone’s ideas – a big thank you to everyone who took part!
Here are the 2022 bookmarks – we think they are going to look fantastic in print! They will be available in the library around the middle of next term.
Premiers' Reading Challenge
The 2022 challenge has launched, and we’d love to see as many students as possible getting on board. All students who sign up and log books will be awarded a house point! If you complete the challenge, you’ll get another. We’ll be recognising outstanding effort with individual awards and a class prize.
PRC asks you to read 15 books by September. We encourage you to make the challenge your own and set a goal that works for you. It's a fantastic way to get motivated, and studies show that more reading leads to better performance across ALL subject areas. It also:
- Improves memory and concentration
- Increases empathy
- Expands your vocabulary
Bookmark this sign in page, and make sure you go to VPRC login (not Edupass). Logins have already been emailed to students in years 7 and 8, but please msg us @Library Viewbank if you’re from another year level and want to join.
Please come and see us at the library if you have any questions.
Holiday reading
As well as loaning books from the library over the holidays, students can access a great range of books from our e-platform. E-books and audiobooks are a great option if you are heading away, and can be read on a phone/tablet through the app, as well as through many e-Readers. All students can access the e-platform at https://viewbank.eplatform.co - using their Microsoft Teams sign in.
