YEAR 10 EXAMINATIONS

The Year 10 Examinations will run from Thursday 9 June to Wednesday 15 June. Students are to attend normal classes and be at school each day during the Examination period. The Year 10 Examination Timetable can be accessed below.

YEARS 11 AND 12 EXAMINATIONS

Years 11 and 12 Examinations commence on Monday 30 May and conclude on Monday 13 June. Examination timetables have been published and are available here. Students and parents will receive a separate letter and email with information about these examinations.

MISSED ASSESSMENTS TOMORROW

Missed Assessments (for students in Years 8-12 only) will be held in the morning on Friday 27 May (tomorrow) in MLC9. Although Friday 27 May is a Pupil Free Day, the College will run missed assessments in two time blocks on Friday morning for any students who wish to complete one or more missed assessments.

  • 9:00am until 10:00am and/or
  • 10:00am until 11:00am

Students can complete one or more missed assessments at these times above. Students CANNOT complete a catch up assessment and have it count towards their mark if the assessment has already been handed back to the students (to their class).

Students must arrive on time to each session and must be picked up on time as the College will be closed.

MISSED ASSESSMENTS UPDATE - YEARS 8 TO 12

  • Due to examinations being held from Monday 30 May until Wednesday 15 June, missed assessments (catch up assessments) will be conducted each day at 8:00am in the RNDM Theatre.
  • Students who are feeling unwell should not attend school to complete an assessment. This particularly applies to students who may be experiencing a sore throat, cough and/or respiratory symptoms.
  • Parents are requested to email the ADP with an explanation of why their child has missed the assessment.
  • A student who misses an assessment is expected to complete a catch up assessment on their first day back to the College, where possible. Students must complete the catch up assessment/s within three school days of returning to the College; however, the College understands that some students with three or more assessments may require a few more days to complete the missed assessments. Please contact the relevant Assistant Deputy Principal for each year level if you have any queries.
  • The mark (result) achieved by the student for the catch-up assessment will count toward the calculation of the student’s final mark and grade; however, as you can appreciate, students cannot complete a missed assessment and have the mark count once the teacher has handed back the missed assessments to the class. In this case, the student will receive a standardised mark for the missed assessment.
  • The teacher may change questions in the catch up assessment.

NAPLAN UPDATE

Despite the disruption of COVID-19, the College has done everything possible to enable as many students as possible to complete the 2022 NAPLAN. We thank parents for their support during the past few weeks.
