Mr Butts' Announcements

Open Day

Tomorrow we welcome current and prospective families to take a look at our wonderful school.  A presentation is taking part in the Marian Centre at 12pm and Gr 6 students will be conducting school tours at around 12:30pm.

First Eucharist

This weekend we have a number of children making their First Eucharist.  We wish them every blessing on this very special day for themselves and their families.

Reconciliation Week

We are looking forward to celebrating Reconciliation Week which starts on May 27th. As a school we will be taking part in a variety of activities including a breakfast for our Aboriginal families and a march (3rd June) where all children will be walking in red, yellow and black to share this year's Reconciliation Week message - "Be Brave Make a Change."

Mother's Day Mass

It was fantastic to be able to gather as a school once again and our Mother's Day Mass was the perfect celebration for this to occur.  Thank you to everyone involved, particularly Mrs Hicks who organised the liturgy.

Mons Peter

Please keep Mons Peter in your prayers this week.  After a few days in hospital, he is now recovering at home.

Student Learning Meetings

Thank you to all parents and carers for taking the time to take part in Student Learning meetings last week.  I was thrilled to hear of the high participation rate.

Interschool Cross Country

St Mary's students did particularly well in the  Interschool Cross Country recently.  We claimed 7 section wins as best school and out of the18 students who took part in the regional event 4 have made it through to the Division Cross Country at Winton next week. Congratulations and good luck to Nico Vigliaturo, Isabelle Vraca, Kobe Loughran,  Stella Wood and Layla Ratcliffe.
