HCC Buddies Program

The Buddies program at HCC involves the Grade 6 students being paired with the Prep students.

The purpose of our Buddies program is to support a smooth transition for children starting school. This promotes social and support networks for children beginning Prep and promotes a sense of community and belonging in the school.

There are benefits for the older buddy in acknowledging their leadership, responsibility and pride in their ability to be helpful and work towards fulfilling our vision statement of, "Growing in Christ, Striving for Excellence, Influencing the World". 

The Perceptual Motor Program (PMP) is a movement-based program that helps younger students improve their eye/hand and eye/foot coordination, fitness, balance, locomotion and eye-tracking skills. The Grade 6 students love connecting with their buddies and assisting Mr Bunyon with PMP.
