MATHS HELP AT HOME
The McKinnon Maths Teachers are aware that Maths can sometimes be tricky to understand, particularly without being in class to clarify your understanding during a lesson and ask your friends for help.
Below is a list of steps you can take to seek help:
FOLLOW LESSON PLANS CAREFULLY
- Always check Compass and follow lesson plans set by your teacher carefully.
- Regularly check your emails, google classrooms or Stile for information.
- Implement the suggestions/feedback given by your teacher through google classroom or email. If you are unsure how to do this, ask your teacher to clarify it for you.
ASKING FOR HELP
- Send your teacher an email or add a comment to classrooms asking for clarification or to have a question explained.
- Call, email or message a friend or your peers in the class, asking for help.
- Ask a family member or guardian.
RESOURCES TO SUPPORT YOUR LEARNING
- Read over examples in your notes or textbook.
- See pre prepared teacher demonstration videos.
- If you are a VCE student, seek help through Edrolo (if applicable).
- Try typing your question in google.
- Khan Academy.
- Search a topic on YouTube, for example explore Eddie Woo’s Youtube Page.
- Explore the Google site, often teachers are putting up worked solutions to difficult questions.
- Ask questions during Google Meets Conferences (if applicable).
- Watch the Cambridge Go text online video resources (if applicable).
