2019 GEOGRAPHY RESULTS

The tradition of excellence continues at McKinnon with stellar results achieved by the 2019 Geography class. Once again we finished as the number one ranked school in Victoria with an incredible 11/18 students achieving a study score of above 40. This is a credit to the dedicated team of Geography teachers supporting students from Year 7-12, congratulations to Dan Blackmore for his work in teaching Units 3 and 4.

As one of our current Year 12 students Hannah Nishikubo who undertook Year 12 Geography last year has said reflecting on the success of 2019:

"I can safely say that the Geography department at McKinnon Secondary College is one of the best. A special shout out to Mr Blackmore, an excellent Geography teacher who presents current worldwide issues and events in the most fun and engaging way, it doesn’t even feel like you are doing a VCE subject!"

Well done to the class of 2019 - we look forward to seeing more and more students take on the challenge of Geography in 2020 and beyond.

Congratulations to:

Hannah Nishikubo, Callan Newell, Jess Salisbury, Mikayla Mildern, Emma Langley, Cheryl Ruan, Emily Mardjetko, Eleanor Harvey-Jones, Larry Gao, Ruthie Brown, and Eloise Williams
