Year 4 - Greeting Cards

Year 4 students made a greeting card and sent it to KAWACHI NAGANO Junior High School in Osaka, JAPAN. On the card, they wrote 'Nice to meet you!', their name, grade and what they like in HIRAGANA and KATAKANA characters.

Year 5 - Video Letters

Year 5 students learned how they describe their school life in Japanese and made video letters for Japanese kinder children (HOSHI NO KO SCHOOL in Hokkaido). The children from Japan asked what the most popular food in Australia is and our Year 5 students said 'Vegemite and Tim Tams are very popular!'. They also showed the life of BNPS in Japanese!

Year 6 - Game Show

Year 6 students practised and performed a game show in Japanese! SUGOI DES! (It is awesome!) The script of the performance is included below.

H: Host        C: Contestants

H: こんにちは。　(Hello)                   

C 1: こんにちは。　(Hello)                    

H: おなまえは。（What is your name?）

C 1: __________です。（I am …/My name is…）

H: なんさい。（How old are you?）                 

C 1: 1１　さいです。or 1２ さいです。(I am 11/12 years old.)

H: かぞくは　だれですか。（Who do you have in your family?）

C 1: かぞくは　＿＿＿　と　＿＿＿　と　ぼく/わたし　です。（---,--- and me.）

H: ペットは　なんですか。（What pet do you have?）

C 1: ペットはーーーーです。（I have a ----）

H: Host picks up a picture hidden in the secret box. If the contestant’s pet matches the one in the box, host will say すごい！（fantastic!） and 　give the picture to the contestant. (If NOT, host will sayざんねん。＿＿＿＿＿＿(Sorry…)　and call the next contestant (C 2).

C 1: ありがとう！（Thank you!）

H: つぎ、どうぞ！（next contestant, please!） Host calls the next contestant, and the game show continues.
