Year 12 Virtual Assembly

On Wednesday, 6 May we held our first virtual Year 12 Assembly during DiSCovery with what I'd call moderate success! With technical issues surrounding the number of attendees permitted to join, we had to juggle the Year 11 attendees to make room for all the Year 12s.

Thank you to the Year 11s for their patience, and I hope they were able to listen to Mr Dennis' screencast to ensure that they understood the expectations for Year 12 SACs moving forward.

The assembly covered information on careers, attendance and SAC expectations. There was also a huge congratulations given to Year 12s for the way they have conducted themselves in the first four weeks of remote learning. All links and screencasts have been uploaded as a Compass Newsfeed for Year 12 parents and students to access.

It was a weird experience conducting the assembly in the PPC without  students, and I can’t wait until the place is full of the students' chatter and energy again (hopefully) soon.

To help support VCE students, I have created a screencast that explains how remote VCE Assessment will be managed at DSC. The screencast covers student FAQs, dates, how to prepare, VCAA rules and College expectations. This information was also covered at the 12 Assembly this week.
