Remote Language Teaching:

Student and Teacher Reflections

Remote language teaching may have its challenges, but that hasn't stopped our dedicated staff from making lessons fun and productive!

Here are some reflections:

Madame Berthie, French Language Teacher (pictured):

"Remote French classes are going well! Students are enjoying new ways to learn and I'm glad that we can still play "Kahoot" and "Quizlet Live".  A bientot!"

Meri Chippa, French Language Teacher:

"Students have been great! They have engaged in the listening and reading tasks and even completed a challenging online assessment. Students have also taken the time to help each other (and the teacher!) using chat on MS teams. Overall, it’s great to see students demonstrate the school values of resilience and teamwork."

Sunny H (7E):

"French has been great so far. I have learnt about different French landmarks, foods and companies. Did you know that the entire metric system was invented by the French? I look forward to learning more interesting things this term."

Kelly S (7E):

"The good thing about learning a language at home is that if you forget a dictionary, you don’t need to run to your locker! However, the teacher isn't there in person to help you so that can be hard. Some of the challenges are not being face-to-face with your classmates and teachers. Sometimes it's also challenging to connect to the websites. On the positive side, I enjoyed making a Kahoot quiz!"

Chrissy (7C):

"Online learning is mostly good. Some of the negatives are when the internet drops out, or when you forget to stand up and move around. On the plus side, it's nice to be in free dress, work where we feel comfortable and eat whenever we want to. It is always good to see or hear our teachers."

Italian Student Stars!

Vanessa Lattanzio, Italian Language Teacher:

This week in Italian, 7H was promised a Kahoot game which they always enjoy after a terrific week of online learning. Our class stars were Amelia S, Ewan J, Zoe K, Ella B and Levy O. Well done everyone!
