Homework
Students will receive homework from Week 1 through to the last week of term. Homework will always consist of spelling and reading each week. It is important that students maintain their reading throughout the term and document progress in their diaries. Each week students will also receive homework that relates to the tasks that are being completed in the classroom to consolidate learning. These may be individual tasks or at times 2-3 week projects. Students are given homework on Mondays and are to hand in all tasks on a Friday unless otherwise specified. Parents are encouraged to check diaries weekly and sign.
In the first 4 weeks of term, the homework will have an oral language focus. Students are to research a topic throughout one week and then practise presenting throughout the next week. We encourage you to listen to your child present, and supply them with constructive feedback.
