IDAHOBIT Day

On Tuesday the 17th of March, the Girton community celebrated IDAHOBIT Day. IDAHOBIT stands for International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia, and aims to raise awareness of the discrimination against the LGBTQIA+ community, and make the world a safer, more inclusive space.

This year, the Pride Plus group organised some activities to help the Girton community show their support for the LGBTQIA+ community. This involved handing out rainbow pride pins, which were proudly pinned on lapels throughout the day, and organising a photobooth at lunchtime. Students and staff alike were invited to strike a pose with "pride" and show their support for IDAHOBIT day. All in all, it was a successful day filled with rainbows, pride and love.

The Pride Plus community would like to thank Girton Grammar for their participation in this day!
