Year 1/2 Report

Our Inquiry topic this term examines how the past is connected to the present. Last week we walked through the school buildings and around the school grounds. Working in small groups, students took photos of things that show evidence of the past. They discovered that our school was built in 1925.

In Literacy, we have been learning about transportation and communication and how they have changed over time. Students have been reading texts about the past and recalling the main facts and ideas about the text.

In Mathematics, students will continue to work on solving multiplication and division problems. To help students multiply and divide numbers they will be using their knowledge of place value.
