Game On Recycling

Langwarrin Primary School has joined the national sporting equipment recycling program Game On Recycling to divert unwanted material from landfill. 

Please help us in this environmentally positive program and collect and recycle your unwanted and end-of-life sporting equipment for a three-week period in term 3 from Monday the 1st of August to Monday the 22nd of August 2022.

Collected material will be sent to a recycling facility in Melbourne, sorted into sporting item categories and tested for re-use or shredding for downstream recycling. The volume that is shredded will then be passed on to Australian manufacturers where it can be used in the manufacturing of new products (yoga mats, fall mats, footwear, sports surface coatings and so on).
