JLA's Special Visitors

On Wednesday the 13th of July, the JLA had some special visitors from Brunswick Police Station come to visit to teach us about our right to be safe. We had the opportunity to learn about the different sections of the Police Force, the different equipment the police use, as well as some animals that help the Police.

They also taught us about being safe in the community by making sure we are wearing our helmet when riding our bikes, hold an adult's hand when we cross the road and always wear our seatbelt in the car.

We were even lucky enough to get to try on a Police vest!

Then we got to explore the Police car and find out what equipment they carry in it. We might have had a little fright when the Police siren went off!

We might even have some budding Police Officers in our midst! Thank you to Sonia for helping us organise this!

Sienna B. - I learnt that there are different sirens.

Nicolas C. - I didn't know there were black police cars.

Owen Q. - I didn't know the sirens were so loud and that there was a squad called the dog squad.

Leo M. - My favourite part was when they turned the sirens on.
