Bully Zero MLA Information Night

On Wednesday the 27th of July, the MLA students and their families were given the opportunity to participate in a webinar provided by BullyZero called SafetyNet. This session explored bullying and cyberbullying, using online platforms appropriately, and where to go when you need help. Students were given the opportunity to interact with Louise the presenter and share their own knowledge too.

Families also learnt about their own rights and responsibilities in the online world. Thank you to those families that were able to attend.

Here are some key learnings shared from the MLA students.

Amelia G. - I learnt that it can be annoying for people to get repeated text messages from someone.

Ariana D. - A lot of games can be unsafe because people might be fake or just want your information. There are scams where people are pretending to be someone else.

Anthony D. - I learnt that games such as Fortnight can have cyber-bullying because games like that have a chat feature and people can send messages that offend you.

Antonio T. - Cyber-bullying is when you keep on doing the same thing over and over. Games can try to persuade you to give out your name and password, such as free games that could be a scam.
