Theatre Production

This semester, students from Year 8 have been exploring production areas that are often incorporated into a performance, including set, sound, make-up, lighting, costume and more. Students have been investigating how these production areas can communicate or enhance meaning in a performance. They have also been studying how they can be used to evoke a particular emotion or mood for an audience.

In a recent lesson, students had plenty of fun designing and creating a newspaper costume based on characters from live theatre productions including The Drover’s Wife from The Drover’s Wife and Lady Windermere from Lady Windermere’s Fan. Each group worked productively and enthusiastically in the short time they had and the end result was outstanding!
