Mount View Book Week

Mount View Primary School will be celebrating Book Week during Week 5, August 8th-12th. During the week, students will be celebrating with Book Week related activities and learning engagements.
On Friday 12th of August we will be holding a whole school dress up day. Students, teachers and parents are invited to dress up as their favourite book character. A costume parade will be held at our whole school assembly at 3pm, all parents are welcome to join. There will be best dressed prizes for each year level.
In addition to Book Week, we will be holding a Scholastic Book Club- Book Fair. Our library will be open before and after school for families to come and browse and purchase books. Profits from the Book Fair will be invested back into the school to build classroom reading corner resources. Students will also have an opportunity to look through the Book Fair with their class. They will be given a wish list slip to bring home after their visit and families are able to return the slip to school with payment details if they would like to purchase any of the books on their children's wish list.
Thank you to the parents who have already offered to volunteer their time. If you would like to help in any way, please email Frances.braithwaite@education.vic.gov.au
