The end of term came upon us very quickly after the finish of our production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and we did not get a chance to say thank you to the cast and all those in the community who were involved.
The journey to get this production on stage was interrupted and fraught with Covid sickness and Covid rules as well as the normal hiccups that happen for a show. We found that we had to relearn a lot of skills after so much time away from each other and from these kinds of activities.
So it is a great joy to look back on the way the show came together. We are incredibly proud of the cast and crew of students and teachers. The energy, commitment and joy they all displayed was something very special. And what a great show! We had such lovely feedback from audiences. To see students from every year group supporting one another, to see the focus and talent on display and the genuine thankfulness of the students was a blessing.
We are so thankful to God for the way He used this opportunity to build our community in a lot of different ways.

On Thursday, Stage 5 Food Technology students completed the practical component of their 'Food Trends' assessment task. Students have been studying the factors that influence the acceptance of new food trends and have experimented with various food styling, plating and photography techniques to enhance the appeal of their dishes. For this task, students were required to design and create a visually appealing dish or platter, using appropriate decorations and garnishes to reflect a specific food trend of their choosing.
Members of the school community, including our Principal Mr Bray and Head of Secondary Mr Asher, teachers and students, were then invited to the TAS kitchen to appreciate the fruits of their labour.
Congratulations to Year 4 staff and students on presenting a wonderful assembly! During this event, students presented musical items, artwork and reflections on their Science unit. We have several Primary Assemblies coming up this term, so look out for further information in future editions of NCS Bytes!
