Parent, Teacher & Student Interviews

Parent, Teacher and Student Interviews will be held on Wednesday, 6th April from 1pm to 6pm.

 

To support the health and safety of staff, parents and students, these will be held remotely on Webex. 

 

Students will be dismissed at the end of period 2, at 12:05pm, on the 6th April.

 

Students are encouraged to be part of the interview process.

 

If you need support regarding the supervision of your child on Wednesday afternoon, please contact Kate Logan, Assistant Principal.

 

To make a booking, please log in to Compass.

 

Bookings will close on Monday, 4th April at 4pm.

 

To access Interviews on Wednesday 6th April:

  1. Access your child's booking sheet on Compass.
  2. Go to "Print Preview" on the interview bookings page.
  3. Under the "Interview Information" you will see the teacher's details, including a 9 or 10 digit "location number".
  4. At your allocated time you can either use this number in the WebEx App or click on this link https://eduvic.webex.com and add the 9 (or 10) digit number in the space marked "Enter meeting information".
  5. Please click "notify" on entry to allow the teacher to receive notification that you have arrived. You will be placed in their Lobby and they will let you into their room when they are available.
  6. It is important that you have your video and audio on during all interviews.

Second Hand Uniform Donations

 

We welcome any donations of used, clean uniform items in good condition. 

 

If you have any items that you no longer need, please donate them by bringing them into the school office.

Aligned Leisure & Cardinia Shire sponsored Activation Program for ALL Year 10 Students - Register before 30th March

Aligned Leisure, in partnership with Cardinia Shire, are offering all of our Year 10 students a 40-visit pass to access Cardinia Life's gym during staffed hours at any stage during 2022.

 

This is to encourage the students return to physical activity and to support healthy lifestyle habits.

Year 7 Camp

Our Year 7 Camp will take place this year at PGL Camp Rumbug on the following dates:

 

Monday 6th - Wednesday 8th June (Camp 1)

Wednesday 8th - Friday 10th June (Camp 2)

 

The picturesque Camp Rumbug is located in the hills of South Gippsland, and set in 200 acres of beautiful temperate rainforest overlooking Wilsons Promontory National Park. 

 

Please return both the consent form and the medical information form to the general office as soon as possible.

 

Payment is due in full by the 29th April, 2022. Should you require to set up a payment plan, please contact June Edwards on 5945 1433 prior to the 8th April. If you have Camps, Sports and Excursion Funding (CSEF), this can be used for the camp.

Camps Sports Excursion Form

If you have a Health Care Card that is still valid by these dates:

31st January 2022 or 26th April 2022 you can apply for CSEF in 2022.  This money can be used against any camp or excursion that goes ahead in 2022.

 

The forms need to be completed and returned with a copy of your Health Care Card (or visit the office and we will take a copy) for processing by NO later than 24th June 2022.

 

However, if your child is wanting to go on the Year 7 Camp and you would like to use CSEF funding towards this, please do so earlier so that we know you are eligible prior to the cut off for the Camp payment which is 29th April, 2022.

Athletics Carnival

On the last day of term we will be holding our Athletics Carnival at Toomuc Reserve (off Princes Highway). This event is an important component in students developing a connection with the College and encouraging College Pride.

 

Please return consent forms as soon as possible. Students who are at school and do not return their forms will be required to remain at school.

We recommend students bring their own lunch and

water bottle on the day. A BBQ lunch and soft drinks 

will be available for purchase.

Important:

STRICTLY NO fast food deliveries or Uber Eats will

be allowed or accepted.

 

Sunscreen and shade will be available.

Please note that on the day, multiple photos are taken of students participating in events and those who are cheering on their Houses. These are then shared on the College's social media (Facebook and Instagram). If you DO NOT want your child's photo taken and published, please complete the below form (Photographing, Filming and Recording Students at Pakenham Secondary College) and return to the General Office or call the office on 5945 1433.

Doctors in Secondary Schools Program

The Doctors in Secondary Schools Program operates each Monday from 10am - 2pm at Pakenham Secondary College. During these times, students can access GP and nurse appointments. Dr Theekshana and Ashlee from Officer Family Medical Clinic will be onsite in the building next to the log cabin to help support the students.

Pop-up Vaccination Clinic

Pakenham Secondary College are hosting a Covid-19 Pop-Up Vaccination Clinic on Saturday, 2nd April from 10am to 3pm. The Clinic will be open to the general public. 

  • Pfizer for children 5-11 and for people aged 12 years and older.
  • Novavax for first and second doses for people aged 18 years and older.
  • Pfizer for third dose (booster) for people aged 16 years and older.
