Principal's Report

A message from the Principal

This is the final newsletter for term 1.  I want to express my thanks to our community for the support they have given the school so far this year.  Our students have done a wonderful job in resetting and adjusting to a full term of on-site learning.  Any weariness that they are feeling is to be expected and is something that is common across all schools.  The holidays will give everyone the opportunity to relax and refresh.

I remind parents that Parent Teacher interviews will occur through Webex on Wednesday, April 6 from 1pm to 6pm.  Bookings can be made on Compass.  Students will be dismissed at 12.05pm to allow time for these to occur.

Friday, April 8 is our athletics carnival.  Please make sure that students return their permission slips so that they can attend.  Students who are at school and do not return permission slips will be required to remain at school.  Students will be dismissed at 2.30pm as it is the last day of term.

FAREWELL

As previously mentioned, I am retiring at the end of this term.  My last official day is April 26.  Working in a school brings its own challenges, some good - some bad.  Success is built around not one person but a team of people with the same goals and vision. I will be forever grateful for the support I have received from our students, our community, and the staff who are working and have worked at the school.  Through it all, we have strived to be supportive of our students and their learning to help make sure they are able to access their preferred pathway upon leaving secondary school.

I wish everyone the very best for the future.
