Diocesan Touch Trials

Well done to those students who represented St Xavier's on Friday at the Armidale Diocesan Touch Football trials. All students had the opportunity to learn some skills in the movement session conducted by Deacon Cameron from Touch NSW. All students then participated in a round-robin competition to allow the selectors to select 10 boys and girls to travel back to Tamworth for the Polding Touch Trials on the 1st April. The competition was tough and although St Xavier's students played some great touch, they did not gain selection to the next level.

Diocesan Winter Trials

Schools are invited to send students of a proficient skill level to the Diocesan Winter Trials in Armidale on Friday 25 March 2022. A Diocesan team to represent the Armidale Diocese at the Polding Trials in Bathurst on Friday 29 April 2022 will be selected in each sport. Sports are Netball, Soccer, League and Hockey. Each school is limited in the number of students for each sport. We were overwhelmed with talented soccer players wanting to attend and had to run trials at school.

Best of luck to those students who will be attending the trials.

Cross Country

At this stage the Primary Cross Country is set for Wednesday 6 April (time to be confirmed). The Diocesan Cross Country will be held on Friday 6 May in Barraba.

There has been no date set at this stage for the Infants Cross Country.

Community Sport

There is so much community sport starting up again for the winter season. Please see the Community News page for all the flyers.
