What’s on in VCAL?

One of our students Adem is currently completing his Structured Workplace Learning (SWL) at Louis Joel Arts & Community Centre where he is interacting with the community to learn more about his industry area.

So far Adem has had positive reviews from those he is working with. He is assisting the centre to implement a program to supply meals for those who need it at school. Adem has been working with our Wellbeing team to implement this within the College.

Adem would like to send “a massive thank you" for the home-made meals we have been receiving from the Louis Joel Arts and Community Centre. Another massive thank you to Laverton Hub and their volunteers for their time in preparing the yummy food for people in need in our community.

We are excited to see Adem doing so well in his SWL and can see a bright future for him in this industry.

The VCAL team cannot wait to share more of the SWL experiences our students are undertaking this year.

Tasha Allan ran a football clinic with our primary students this week as a part of her ‘Interest Project’ for Personal Development Skills.

Students were shown how to kick and pass a football to one another and had a fantastic time kicking and playing in the yard.

This project goes towards Tasha’s VCAL certificate and showcases her dedication to her outcomes and strengthening her employ-ability skills.

Tasha went through the planning and communication with staff to run her clinic and had a blast doing so!
