Junior School

It’s been a busy two weeks in the Grade 1 and Grade 2 classroom, with students taking part in the STOMP incursion and beginning their Gecko Sport Athletics sessions. Alongside these exciting events, students continue to renew old friendships and make new ones. 

Literacy

Every Friday, the Grade 2 students have been using their Writer’s Notebook, writing seeds and story prompts to create their own writing pieces. Comic strips, haiku poetry, song lyrics, and narrative stories a few pages long and even song lyrics have been created by students. 

Numeracy

Numeracy sessions have focused on skip counting and number patterns. Students have thoroughly enjoyed exploring this concept, creating paper chains and fans to demonstrate their understanding of skip counting patterns with two- and three-digit numbers!
