Students of the Month
Healesville High School is proud to announce our February Students of the Month for Years 7, 8 and 9. Each month the student with the most green chronicle entries awarded on Compass will receive our Student of the Month certificate, $10 canteen voucher and have their name and picture on our display boards for the following month. We are very excited to celebrate the success of our students and for the month of February the Students of the Month are: Year 7, Marley Deefholts; Year 8, Issabelle Smith and Year 9, Blake Beale! Congratulations to all our award recipients and to the students who received High Flyer awards for being in the top 10 for green chronicles for the first time in 2018. Fantastic Work!!!!
Marley Deefholts
Marley lives with his two sisters, his parents and the family dog Sherlock who unfortunately is currently battling an unhealthy obsession with popcorn! Marley loves to play basketball and is looking forward to joining a Healesville team this year.
When he’s not playing basketball Marley also enjoys riding his bike, hanging out with friends and staying home because you literally don’t have to do anything!
At school, he enjoys maths and science most of all and began the year with the goal of completing Semester One without losing a pen. Unfortunately this has not worked out as well as he’s hoped and so he is currently working on formulating a new plan.
Issabelle Smith
Issy lives with her large extended family, three dogs, two cats and three fish. She loves to play netball for her Healesville team and was thrilled to be awarded Best and Fairest last season. Her goal for this year is to work hard and help her team make the finals.
Issy loves hanging out with friends and family.
At school her favourite subjects are sport and science because she loves to be active and finds science interesting. Issy loves being a part of the Healesville High School community because there are always so many opportunities to get involved and try something new.
Blake Beale
Blake lives with his parents, three younger brothers, one younger sister and George the cat who is always either lazing about or planning a stealth attack when you walk past.
Blake likes playing footy, video games, reading and hanging out with mates.
His family have a caravan in Corowa, NSW on the Murray River and this is the place Blake loves to visit as he gets to hang out with his cousins and go fishing for Murray Cod.
At school, Blake likes seeing his mates and improving his Japanese skills. He is really looking forward to going on the school trip to Japan when he’s in Year 11 so he can experience all that the Japanese culture has to offer.
Blake’s goal this year is to improve his maths and maintain a positive attitude so that he continues receive Green Chronicles and hopefully an end of semester award as well.
Congratulations to all of our Student of the Month and High Flyer recipients. We are incredibly proud of how you have begun 2018. Special mention to our Year 7 recipients as this is a wonderful way to begin your Healesville High journey.
