College Captains 2021

We had five of our current year 11 students nominate to be considered for College Captains for next year.  My thanks and congratulations to Bethany Williams, Kaitia Phillis-Thornton, Eryn Gourlay, Tom Beattie and Tyrell McKenzie for nominating.  To stand up and be put yourself forward as a candidate is a sign of true leadership in itself, regardless of outcome, and all of these people would have made excellent representatives of our school.

After a new-look nomination, speech and voting process completed all online - my sincere thanks to Mrs. Katie Clements for organising this process, I am now pleased to be able to announce our 2021 College Captains.

Congratulations to:

  • Kaitia Phillis-Thornton
  • Tom Beattie

I am looking forward to working with both Tom and Kaitia next year.

Grade 6 Orientation Day - Tuesday December 8th.

After a long period of time where it looked like we weren't going to be able to have an orientation program for our year 7 students for next year, I am delighted to say that the latest school operational guidelines released by DET will allow us to have a "Covid-normal" orientation day for current grade 6's moving into year 7 in 2021 on Tuesday December 8th.  This will be for many their first experience of secondary school, as all other orientation events/tours/information sessions have been cancelled due to this year's restrictions.  We are really looking forward to meeting our new students and providing them with a positive start to the next stage of their education.

This day will be a normal school day for all students.
