Our Talented Actors....

On the morning of October 20th VCE Drama students presented to the Eastwood Leisure Centre for their externally marked solo examination. To start the day we met at Bridge Mall where final touches to hair, make up and costume were completed, much to the amazement and interest of several onlookers. At 9.30am we headed across to the centre ready for the first exam at 10am. It was an anxious wait out the front of the building for Miss Frost while the students were inside giving their performances everything they had.

Next it was Mrs Quicks turn for an anxious wait, only the weather was not on our side! A very chilly morning on October 26th with wild windy conditions made the final adjustments to costume and paperwork difficult. We were once again cursing covid for derailing our honoured traditions of sharing a rehearsal space prior to the exam. Happily though, students came out smiling and were treated to a delightful pancake breakfast courtesy of our supporter Jess Hodge, who had performed in an in house session weeks earlier.

Now the only anxious wait left is to see how the assessors have scored our students. In the meantime we are content in the knowledge that students gave it their best. A lot of time and effort has gone in to these performance exams. The students have done us proud.                                                                                                             Miss Quick and Miss Frost
