Changes to the Graduated Licensing System

How will it impact my daughter?

The changes in obtaining your driver’s license are being introduced to help reduce the risk of young Tasmanians being seriously injured on our roads.  The Tasmanian Government has provided an easy to navigate and read flowchart, outlining the new expectations at each stage from L1 - P2.

It is critical that young people understand and accept these restrictions, but that may not come easily.  We encourage parents to look through the changes that are going to be implemented and to support your daughter who may have already started the licensing system and will be required to adhere to the changes.

For full details of the changes, scheduled to be implemented in December 2020, access the Department of Transport website.
