From the Director of Primary

Caroline Wilson-Haffenden

The Primary School has enjoyed a wonderful start to the term with the Year 3 – 6 Athletics Carnival followed by Book Week including a quiz and parade. The children, teachers and teacher assistants looked amazing in a myriad of wonderful character costumes.  We look forward to the final 8 weeks of learning including new units of inquiry, class excursions and end of year celebrations.

Planning is also underway for the 2021 academic year.  Research supports the notion that quality teachers are one of the most significant factors in building a strong culture of learning.  We are fortunate at Mount Carmel to have exemplary professional teaching and support staff across the school.  On this note, October 30 marks World Teachers’ Day which is an opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate the wonderful work of our teachers.

The Class Teacher allocations for 2021 are:

  • Kinder: Karen Giudici
  • Prep: Alice Row / Maureen Fasnacht
