They will provide shade and habitat during the hot summer.

Is the environment a ‘waste’ of time ?

This year we have unfortunately had to cancel a lot of a school programs that we have looked forward to. Luckily Keen Green Team isn't one of them. Keen Green Team (KGT), is a program for year 5s, that takes place every Friday afternoon. Waste is 5NK’s focus for KGT 2020. There are lots of jobs for 5NK to do such as recycling,planting, collecting the compost and more. We encourage everyone from our school to bring nude food whenever they can. We have found quite a lot of litter and lost property scattered around our school. As well as lots of recyclable items in the general waste bins. and lots of items in the recycling bins that shouldn’t be recycled. We’re not the best but we are getting better and we are back on track to making our school environment friendly. So make sure to put your rubbish where it belongs. And also don’t forget stay green!

Icy pole wrappers 

This week it has been really hot. Lots of people have bought icy poles from our canteen. Not many people have put their rubbish in the bin and this has lead to a lot of canteen litter. So please make sure to put your wrappers in the bin when ever you buy canteen treats!
