As a fruitful year at Oakleigh Grammar draws to a close, and the great season of Christmas approaches, may the peace and joy of Christmas be with you and those you love.

 

In this final edition of the Grammar News for 2019, I wish to take this opportunity to acknowledge the staff of Oakleigh Grammar, both teaching and non-teaching. I extend my gratitude to them for their commitment, enthusiasm and dedication in ensuring the social, emotional and academic wellbeing of our students during the year. Their work is often unseen but always appreciated. 

 

I wish to take the opportunity to also congratulate Peter Dickinson, Deputy Principal Operations, on his appointment to the Board of Life Education.

 

To those students and staff who conclude their involvement at our School this year, I sincerely thank you for the contributions you have made at Oakleigh Grammar. You will always be a part of our history, and have left your footprint here. We wish Maria-Stella Papageorgiou well as she leaves us at the end of the year.

 

I am grateful to all the members of our Community for your ongoing support, confidence and positivity of our School. 

 

I wish to announce the following new staff commencing next year:

  • Shelley Parkes – Head of Junior School
  • Vanessa Hogarth-Scott - Accounting/Economics Teacher
  • Lisa Tabone – Head of Library (Term 2 2020)

Some important dates to note include:

  • School Administration closes on 20th December 2019
  • School Administration opens on 6th January 2020
  • Second Hand Uniform Shop opens on 21st, 29th and 31st January 2020
  • Year 12 commence on 30th January 2020
  • Years 1 – 11 students commence on 31st January 2020
  • Prep commences on 4th February 2020
  • ELC Information Evening is on 11th February 2020
