Year 7s start at Lilydale High School
The Year 7s started with a really positive attitude and an excited look in their eyes! They met their Home Group teachers and spent most of the first day finding their classroom, finding their lockers and finding their way in general.
Mr Hager and Miss McAlister spoke to all the students about some the endless opportunities available at Lilydale High School, namely sport and music.
We look forward to seeing many of our Year 7s out on interschool sport, participating in up-coming sporting carnivals and learning a new instrument.
We hope everybody has had a great, productive and positive start to high school.
Community Program
Every Friday during Period 6, all Year 7 students will participate in activities that aim to promote connectedness within the school community.
There are 6 focus themes to the program:

- School Pride
- Community Cup
Year 7 – Instrumental Music Information Evening
Tuesday 13 February

Performing Arts Theatre
Year 7 Parents/Guardians and students are invited to Instrumental Music Information Evening to learn more about the Instrumental Music Program at Lilydale High School, meet the teachers and listen to the band.
A reminder to please complete the Instrumental Music Form you received in your Year 7 pack, or collect another one from the PAC staffroom.
Immunisations/Year 7 Camp
A reminder to parents and guardians, that all students should have received their immunisation forms and Year 7 camp paperwork.
If you have not received either of the above forms, please speak to your home group teacher.
We look forward to receiving your completed forms by Friday 23 February.

Welcome Back!
Welcome back to the start of the 2018 school year. We would like to welcome back all the students from last year and to all the new students and staff members.
We would like to mention a huge welcome to Mrs Harris, who is our new Year 8 Coordinator.
We have an ‘OPEN DOOR’ policy in the Junior School, so please feel free to pop in at any time and say hi!
Launch into High School
Thank you to the parents who attended Launch into High School and the subsequent morning teas in Week 2.
The new Year 7s were very attentive and engaged during the sessions that outlined student expectations at Lilydale High School.
We look forward to a year of collaborative, supportive and positive relationships with both students and families.
Absences on COMPASS
All absences from school must be parent/guardian approved. You can do this through a signed note or you can approve your child’s absences via the Parent Approval Button on Compass.
You can also use Compass to view your student’s past absences.
