STEAMWORKS

What's NEW for 2018
This year, Steamworks is turning it up to 11! Many LUNCHTIME CLUBS will be running along with our daily mindful meditation sessions but that’s not all. Steamworks now proudly hosts Year 7 Tech Taster classes, Year 9 Flight, Drones and Design electives and a Next Gen Design class!
Lunchtime Activities include;
- A Drum Circle for all interested students.
- Steam X-Projects - A twice weekly club devoted to real world design solutions.
- STEAM Queens - An all female design and technology club focused on giving our female students the skills and confidence to take their 21st Century skills to the next level.
- Flight Crew - A FPV quadracing club with a focus on flight, fun and problem solving.
- VR Art Club - Work in teams on Art projects in the VR room, running THREE times a week!
- Coming soon.......Lego League - A club all about building with everyone’s favourite creation tool, LEGO!
Keep an eye on Compass for when the clubs run and we’ll see you @ Steamworks!

STEAM QUEENS
The first gathering of STEAM QUEENS was held this week, with the unboxing of the Lego MindStorms robotics kits. Lots of FUN!
All GIRLS with an interest in designing, making, developing, printing, gaming, programming, controlling, racing, flying, playing, technology, engineering, working with robots or wearable circuits can come and join the STEAM QUEENS every Wednesday lunchtime at STEAMWORKS.
It's girl takeover time! You don't need to be an expert, just bring your ideas and enthusiasm, and be prepared to play with some fun new toys!
See Ms Amira, Ms Corben, Ms Barr or Ms Van Bakel for more information.
