Nihongo News
Did you know that the Japan Australia Friendship Association run a Komodo no Hi (Children’s Day) Festival each year? In fact this year the festival is celebrating it’s 20th Birthday! It is a fun filled day with lots of traditional Japanese activities to both see and do. It is a great value for money experience for the whole family. Why not put it in your diary now for Sunday 3rd May?
There is even an extra special event being held this year on the Sunday before the festival. Children can go to Victoria Square on 26th April between 11-2pm and have a go at designing their own koinobori carp streamers. I will be there on the day so feel free to come along and join in on the fun!

Room 11 'Federation Studies'
Room 11 have been studying Federation this term. One of our tasks was to prepare a persuasive argument from the perspective of a woman, a rich man, a poor man, an immigrant, an aboriginal etc for or against Federation. We did a lot of research to work out our arguments and incorporate our perspective throughout our speech. Some of us even dressed up and changed our voice to suit the character we were portraying.
