Golf Day

With the sun rising over the first tee on what promised to be a glorious day for golf, over 100 Old Collegians and their guest joined us at Woodlands Golf Course for the Annual Finian Foundation Fundraiser.

We had the opportunity to listen to Victorian Racing Industry experts including successful trainers Pat Carey and Simon Zahra and successful jockey, race walker and race commenter Sam Hyland.  All Beda boys spoke frankly and with great love of their time at St Bede's College and provided the audience with some winning tips for the upcoming race days.

21 degrees and blue skies ensure golfing conditions were perfect! The eventual winners of the Ambrose Tournament for the day were Steve Zagamy, Robin Drury, Trevor Panozza and Jack Timmons.  Very, very close runners up were Derek Humphrey-Smith, Peter Fitzgerald, Stephen McBurney and James McLean.
