Keeping Children Focused in Term 4
As this term progresses the children will become excited about the approaching Advent and Christmas seasons. It is very important that the children remain focused and settled throughout Term 4. When the children begin to bring Christmas cards, candy canes and the like to school too early they tend to ‘tune out’.
It is for this reason and the fact that waiting is a part of our Catholic tradition within the season of Advent, that the children may begin to bring Christmas cards, candy canes etc. for their classmates from the beginning of Week 10 – Monday 14 December.
Semester 2 Reports
Semester 2 student reports will be available via the COMPASS Parent Portal on Wednesday 9 December after 4:00 pm.

Library News
Overdue Library Books
Due to the disruption to schooling during Covid times, there have been many issues arising with Library books not being returned through the library system and placed straight on the shelves. We are about to commence a stock take which will hopefully unearth many of these errors.
As the end of each term approaches it is our policy to print overdue notices in the attempt of recovering books that have been mislaid at home or within classrooms. There is no need to worry about the book at this point, we will let you know if it not recovered during stocktake.
Thank you for your understanding in this matter.
Library Borrowing for 2020 has closed
All books to be returned by Friday 4 December (Week 8).
Thanking you for your support.

SJB’s Got Talent 2020
This year during Weeks 9 and 10, we will again be holding SJB’s Got Talent-Showcase where students are given an opportunity to share their creative talents with the school community.
Due to COVID restrictions, the showcase will run differently this year, with students performing within their stage group in the hall whilst the rest of the school views the performances in their classrooms live streamed on youtube (like we did for book week). Unfortunately, students will not have the opportunity to perform with friends or siblings from other grades as we have in the past to avoid having students from many different grades gather in the hall.
Parents will not be able to attend the showcase this year, however, I will put a package together to share with you in Week 10 via our newsletter and facebook page.
The schedule for the performances will be sent home on Friday of Week 8 to help you with the organisation of music, costumes and props if required.
(Please note that the time limit for each act is 4 minutes).
For more information please contact Mr Aguilera or your child's teacher.
Book Club 2020 Issue 8 - CLOSED!
