Foundation/Year 1

¡Bienvenidos a todas y todos!

The F1 team would like to give you the most warm welcome to all our students, parents and new teachers.

We are all looking forward to getting to know our students and the rest of the community. 2021 will be a very exciting year for all of us!

We would like to take the opportunity to officially welcome Sophia, Ally and Jacqui. We are sure that we have a very strong team and we are looking forward to working with you!

Welcome Foundation students!

On Wednesday our Foundation students had their first day of school. We are all very delighted with the way students are settling in, making new friends and learning all the school routines. Foundation students have started to learn the skills on how to be a Newlands learner by helping the year 1 students create the classroom agreement. On the first day, the Foundation students received a welcome card that the year 1 students proudly made for each one of them.

Things to know.

We will be sending all students information and log in details for Sentral and Seesaw over the next week. Seesaw is a fantastic application where students will be posting their learning at Newlands.

As we all know, Newlands Primary School finally received the official Bilingual Accreditation. Therefore, teachers are enthusiastically organising a magnificent ´fiesta´ to celebrate such a memorable achievement. Stay in the loop for more information upcoming newsletters.

We would also like to remind parents to pack extra clothes everyday and dress students up with comfortable clothes on specialist days.
