Resource Centre News

To start off the year displays of new books have been set up for students to browse and borrow in addition to the wide range of shelved fiction and non-fiction books. There is a great collection of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island literature, the classics, sports stories, Guinness World Records, cars, biographies, war stories, mysteries and comedy as well as many other areas of interest.
It has been wonderful to see so many of our new students from Year 7 to Year 12 already visiting the Resource Centre to check out the displays and their areas of interest and borrowing books.
The Resource Centre is also linked into the ACEN Digital Collection which is available to all members of the College community. To gain access to the digital collection, follow the visual guide below.

I would like to remind all students and staff that audio and print books are also accessible for download through the ACEN digital database which is visually illustrated below.

These steps will provide access and borrowing rights to the e-Book collection of fiction and non-fiction material including audiobooks and magazines. Items will automatically return at the end of the borrowing period and items may also be reserved and returned before that expiry time.
The Oliver Library Management System database to access resources in the Kildare College collection is available through the landing page of student and staff devices.
Over the next two weeks students who have overdue library books and textbooks from 2020 will receive email notifications to return their items. If there is a problem in locating any of these items, please contact the Resource Centre Staff so that any issues can be quickly resolved. We look forward to continuing to assist all members of our College community in their learning journeys.
