eSMART TIP

STOP, BLOCK, TELL

If your child receives a message or email that's threatening or rude, they should 'STOP, BLOCK, TELL'.

First step is to tell your child to stop responding to the abuse and then block those people sending threatening or rude messages if they continue. Let your child know that if they are being bullied, or know someone else who is, they should tell a trusted adult.

WEET-BIX TRYATHLON

It's great to see so many MPS students taking up the challenge of participating in the upcoming Weet-Bix Tryathlon.

Held on Sunday March 8 at St Kilda, children will take part in a modified swim/cycle/run event.

MPS PE and Sport Co-ordinator, Tracey Nelson, has a strong track record in triathlons, and will be sharing some triathlons tips with those who have taken up the challenge. If you have a student taking part, you're probably already aware that you can help them have a great day by following the Bupa training tips, and getting your child to keep a training diary.

For those of you interested in getting MPS students together as a group to train before the event, and perhaps check out the location, please get in touch with Belinda (mum to Yr 5 student Ed) via email:

macleod-smith@bigpond.com

For those of you on FaceBook, there's also an official WeetBix Tryathlon (Melbourne) group to join.
