Art Room News

Dear RHPS Artists,

As we come to a close of a very unusual school year, I want to congratulate all of our RHPS artists for their engagement, kindness and creativity that you have all shown during remote art learning and on our return to school. This year certainly did not impact on your ability to show your wonderful art skills and you should all be very proud of your efforts.

Our Grade 6 Legacy project is complete. The owls look AMAZING on the outside walls of the Grade 56 rooms. A huge thank you to Mrs. Shaw at Kalinda Primary School for firing our owls. I would also like to thank, Ms. Hodgett and Mrs. Boyle for helping us paint and draw the trees and a HUGE thank you to Mr. V for all of his wonderful help. Mr. V drew and painted the tree and tower and helped me to stick the owls along with Mr. Granger. A wonderful team effort. I hope all of our Grade 6 students find happiness and success as they begin their next adventures, it has been a pleasure to teach you all since Grade 4.

I wish to thank our 2020 Art Captains, Xanda and Riley for their contributions this year and welcome our 2021 Art Captains, Charley and Jack. Congratulations to you both!

I am looking forward to a wonderful year next year full of learning, challenges, creativity and imagination. Not only do I have the privilege of teaching you all Art again, I will also be teaching you all STEAM through the year. I think it's going to be an amazing 2021.

Over the holidays........keep being amazing, keep safe, keep being kind and remember to keep creating!
