Preps

There are many traditions we love to share in Prep! Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer is ringing in our ears as we get crafty in our I-Time sessions. We also love the tradition of unwrapping and reading 12 books in the 12 days leading up to the end of the year. The two classes love gathering together around our tree and listening to the next magical story. We've been highlighting that it's not what's under the tree that's important - it's who is gathered around it. Check out our home made antlers for Carols day and some photos of our merry rooms below. We are so proud of all the progress our youngest students have made during such an extraordinary first year of school. We wish them all the best as they grow over the holidays and transition to grade one!

Level 1/2 News

It is crazy to think this year is already coming to an end. After returning to school in Term 4 it really has flown by. As usual, it’s been a busy end of year for our Level 1/2 students!

Across the school we have been enjoying many Christmas activities. Students have participated in Christmas Carols (please check Compass for each performance, they are ace!), Christmas Dress Up Days and special lunches, Christmas reading and writing activities and plenty of Christmas Craft!

Last week we also participated in our school wide Ninja Warrior course which was amazing fun! Thanks to Miss Minton for organising this and a massive thank you to the Grade 6 students who run each activity and really supported and encouraged our Junior Students. It was wonderful to see.

Transition Day was another exciting day with our 1/2 Students heading off to meet their new teacher and grade for 2021. We are all looking forward to an exciting year and hopefully one with a little more consistency!

Thank you to the fabulous 1/2 Students and families for the tremendous amount of support we’ve received this year. We wish you all a happy, safe and healthy Christmas break.

Level 3/4 News

Hi everyone and welcome to the end of a crazy year! Well done, we made it! The Level 3/4 students have been busily preparing their Portfolios, so they are able to share some of their Learning with their families and friends. They have also been creating Christmas Crafts, so look forward to some masterpieces arriving on your doorstep! The students all did a fantastic job of their Christmas Carols and they are now available for you on Compass.

The Level 3/4 students completed a successful Transition Day last week, which gives them a great opportunity to meet their new teachers and class mates in their new classroom environment. The children displayed positivity and resilience, and demonstrated that they are ready for their learning journey in 2021!

The Level 3/4 Team would like to take this final opportunity to thank all of the students, parents and wider school community for their support and flexibility this year. We got through it together and we are well aware that we couldn't have done it without your patience and support. Now we need to get our jolly on and relax and enjoy some quality time with family and friends. Merry Christmas everyone!

Please enjoy some of the photos from the Ninja Warrior Course!

Kind regards

The Level 3/4 Team

Level 5/6 have had quite a busy couple of weeks! We have kick-started our fabulous Christmas Activities so Maths, Writing, Reading and Inquiry have involved all things Christmas which has been great fun!

Our day of Christmas Dress and Christmas Carols was a huge success and lots of fun! We enjoyed celebrating that Christmas is near with our Christmas Carols. We hope you enjoyed listening to 'Jingle Bell Rock' and 'Holly Jolly Christmas' by our Level 5/6 students. Please see Compass for these recordings.

Our Pinball Machines are finished and look amazing! The Level 5/6 students have thoroughly enjoyed getting creative with an alternative, hands-on Inquiry task - Thank you Mr Bradley for organising this and for visiting our classrooms to work through the building phases.

Transition Day was another huge success, with Grade 5 students meeting their teacher and peers for 2021. It was great to be able to get involved in activities together and get to know one another. Thanks Mr Smith from all of the Level 5/6 staff, students and families!
