SCHEDULE 4: NOTICE OF ELECTION AND CALL FOR NOMINATIONS
An election is to be conducted for members of the school council of JACANA SCHOOL FOR AUTISM
Nomination forms may be obtained from the school and must be lodged by 4.00 pm on
18/02/2021
The ballot will close at 4.00 pm on 04/03/2021
Following the closing of nominations a list of the nominations received will be posted at the school.
The terms of office, membership categories and number of positions in each membership category open for election are as follows:

If the number of nominations is less than the number of vacancies, a notice to that effect and calling for further nominations will be posted in a prominent position at the school.

Camps Schools and Excursion Fund 2021.
2021 CSEF New Applications
For families that are new to JSA (Prep parents / recent transfers) if you have a valid Health Care Card and would like to receive the State Government Camps Sports and Excursions Fund (CSEF), please fill in the Application Form attached to this newsletter and send it back to the school before 25th June 2021. Forms received after this date will not be accepted.
Families that applied for CSEF at JSA in 2020 do not need to complete another application form, your application for 2021 has been automatically processed.
If you’re unsure if you applied for CSEF at JSA in 2020, please fill in the form and return to the school along with a copy of your Health Care Card.

Like many businesses, SchoolPix evolved during 2020 to minimise the risks posed by COVID-19. In the interests of the ongoing safety to both our staff and the broader community, we have changed our business practices to NO LONGER ACCEPT CASH PAYMENTS.
The order form that you will receive prior to photography day does not allow for cash orders or payments. It only contains information on our packages and on how to order using our online ordering system.
Ordering on our secure online ordering system is easy on a computer, laptop, tablet or phone. We accept Visa and Mastercard, debit cards and also PayPal which will enable payments from a linked bank account without needing a card at all.
If families don’t have access to a credit card perhaps they can ask a family member or friend for help. Visa Debit cards can be purchased at various locations and then used to make a payment online.
Please Note: SchoolPix is not charging a surcharge for any online payments.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause to your community but it is in the interest of the health and safety of our staff and yours that we have made this decision.

Medical Documentation for Students
Just a friendly reminder that any medical or medication updates need to be provided to the school in a timely manner in order for us to know your child's needs.
All Asthma, Anaphylaxis and Epilepsy/ Seizure plans do need to be updated on a Yearly basis or earlier if medication or medical needs change. Thank you.
Student Bus Transport
(Due to the high volume of traffic on the currently on the roads Mee’s buses can running up to 10 minutes late. Please call Mee’s on 94593000 & they can provide a live update of bus arrival times.) as they were wanting parents/carers to be aware that they are able to use an online tracking program to give accurate bus ETA’s.
Reporting Absences
A timely reminder to all parents/carers to please text the absence line if your child us going to be absent from school for any reason. Text their NAME, ROOM NUMBER, and REASON FOR ABSENCE on 0439 114 197. Thank you
