The Edit

My day brightened considerably today when a Year 7 English student showed me this beautifully pressed 4- leaf clover he found in a library book. You never know where you'll find the next treasure! (hint: look in a library book! 😉)
In this week's edition we have some fantastic photos
of our Year 10 work experience students. Thank you to all of those businesses and organisations who have supported our work experience program - it is greatly appreciated. You can see the full list of those participating in our 'work experience page'. In this photo here you can see one of our work experience students got to concoct their own recipe for a bath bomb at local store Gather & Harvest. That's pretty unique!
Thank you again to staff member Rosemary Oldis for editing more photos for us in the 'athletics photos' - they are so vibrant and really capture the spirit of the day. These photos are a wonderful keepsake for years to come.
Our School Council have been busy organising a new fundraiser raffle to raise funds to purchase a commercial dishwasher for our school caf. This is much needed in order for staff to keep the Cafe running and continue serving up hot and tasty food for our students. We are encouraging students and families to get behind this fundraising event for the school.
Families will be asked, if able to make a donation to the office of local gift vouchers/non- perishable food/wine items to use as raffle prizes. Stay tuned - more information about this will be sent out soon!
Our School Council are also running a 'meet & greet' session on Wednesday 21st June at 6pm. This is a great opportunity to get involved in our school, meet other parents, and have your say.
In 'Community news' - there is so much on offer at the moment in our local community- from barista courses that students can do, to Wrap the Generator – create a piece of art to wrap the Mount Beauty Generator and win $500, to a Rainbow Ball. And lastly, how great is it to read about ex-student and MBSC CRT teacher Phil Bellingham in the latest snow news - read about it in the 'staff page'.
