Mobile Muster Collection at SoGS:

Dear Parents, carers and families,

To reduce the amount of rubbish we send to landfill we have signed up to Mobile Muster to help make a difference.

ITEMS THAT CAN BE DONATED

The program accepts the following items for recycling: all brands of mobile phones and their batteries, chargers, accessories and mobile wireless broadband devices.

PACKING IT THE RIGHT WAY

If you would like to donate a phone please come into the front office to collect a bag or email msanderson@sogsgpark.catholic.edu.au for Mel to organise the bag to go home with your child. The bag has step by step instructions on how to recycle your mobile phone. Once completed, please return the mobile in the bag to the front office and we will do the rest.

How to recycle:

  1. Remove or delete any data. Visit mobilemuster.com.au for tips
  2. Keep batteries within the handsets
  3. Include any mobile phone chargers and accessories
  4. Read and sign the packaging declaration
  5. Drop into School of the Good Shepherd and we can post them for you or drop off at a Australia Post box.

DID YOU KNOW? MobileMuster is the Australian mobile phone industries official product stewardship program funded voluntarily by handset manufacturers and network carriers.  Since the telecommunications industry introduced its recycling service in 1998, MobileMuster has collected 17 million mobile phones and batteries which have been kept out of landfill.  This free recycling service enables everyone to play their part in keeping old mobiles out of landfill ensuring they are recycled in a safe, secure and ethical way.  None of the items collected are re-sold for re-use.

Thank you in advance.
