Camerata 2023

The Performing Arts faculty had the pleasure of hosting Kinross Wolaroi’s annual Camerata Concert in the Derek Pigot Auditorium Friday evening. The concert is an opportunity for our music students to showcase works they have been preparing over the year, and they did not disappoint! Supported by the formidable piano accompanying skills of Mr Luke Moxey, Mr David Shaw and Mrs Anne Stevens, the evening featured 29 student performers from Years seven to twelve, showcasing the refined skill and quality of music students at Kinross. Students delighted the audience, performing works spanning various genres and instruments to a very high quality. The concert was an excellent reminder that our students are as keen as ever to perform.

Thank you to Miss Katherine Howarth for her efforts in organising the evening.

Big Band Blast

Stage Band continues to go from strength to strength, recently attending Big Band Blast at Charles Sturt University. This event brings together jazz bands from all over the state to play together and workshop with Australian Jazz musicians including John Morrison and Jacki Cooper, along with jazz lecturers from various universities. Staff were super proud of the way our students conducted themselves and performed.
